crocheted stone

I have been wanting to try this for so long, in addition to a zillion other things. I haven't been crocheting for a while after attempting to construct a blanket out of several granny squares. Never doing that again. It took far too long to finish and I made the wrong choice of colours too. But having a look at the truly amazing work of this lady I got bitten once again, with the crochet bug.

So this was my first attempt. Really bad stitches here and there but overall I'm quite pleased with it. Definately going to do more.

Saturday speaks to me

in the form of some papier mache action and some quiet time spent crocheting whilst Isaac does what he knows best-eat!
I'm slowly starting to find some rhythm to my days spent at home. Can you tell? It's all still abit of a juggling act but I'm getting there. The weekend will always be alot more enjoyable than the week because I have the hubby with me, so sometimes, when I think Ive got it in the bag, this baby gig, I realise its because Mr T has been singing to him in the baby bjorn whilst simultaneously walking up and down the livingroom, giving me that extended bit of time to zone out abit. Whilst it is still hard at times, there is the major factor of missing my mum and dad and getting all teary eyed when I think about how much cuteness theyre missing out on (he's getting so big!) I focus on him and the immeasurable joy that he brings us, and just try to keep going. I've been reading this and keeping in touch with my blogging pals. It all helps a great deal. Thankyou!

Baby's got the blues....

Guess what I did this fine Sunday morning? I can't seem to stop crocheting! I think it's too cute for a batty old woman like me. At least the respectable shade of blue keeps the girliness in check.

Every girl needs a pink bow

I could not have done this without the help of the lovely blog Creative Yarn I still took far longer than the average crocheting human being but with some rather hefty sewing, I managed to make it look like a neat little bow in the end. Just don't look at it too close. Please. I shall put a safety pin at the back and give it to Mr Ts little neice. Theres no fear of this not fitting this time like the bracelet.
